For some clients, such as those who are under the legal age or those with restricted mobility, the best way to receive medical cannabis is with the help of a designated caregiver. These are trusted individuals who are able to assist with a patient’s medical cannabis, including all communications with Aurora. If you or someone you know is interested in adding a caregiver to your/their account, here’s a breakdown of how that process works.

At any time, clients can choose to add a caregiver to their account to help with ordering or account changes. Any client under 18 across Canada will require a caregiver linked to their account prior to being approved with Aurora. Please note that caregivers can no longer be added via online registration/renewal and must submit a physical Registration Application or Registration Amendment form.

• If you’re filling out a Registration Application, complete yourself or have your caregiver complete the “Individual Responsible for Applicant” portion of the form. The caregiver must sign under “Signature of Responsible Individual” (eSignatures are not accepted). Please note that a signature from the client is not needed.
• If you’re already a client with Aurora and would like to add a caregiver to your account, you’ll need to fill out a Registration Amendment form. Complete yourself or have your caregiver complete the “Individual Responsible for Applicant” portion. Please remember to have your caregiver sign under “Signature of Responsible Individual”.
