Edmonton Pride is one of the oldest pride festivals in Canada. In their 38th year, this veteran pride event continues to bring together people from around the world to create a safe space to celebrate diversity, inclusivity, and acceptance. Aurora is a proud supporter of the LGBTQ2S+ community and is honoured to be sponsoring the 2018 Edmonton Pride Festival, running this summer from June 8-17.

This year’s theme, “Full Spectrum Pride”, hits especially close to home. Aurora’s mission stems from our goal to provide accessible cannabis to all who need it, and we know there are still many barriers in place. That’s why it’s important that we continue to fight towards improving access to medical cannabis to all who qualify, irrespective of age, race, national or ethnic origin, religious affiliation, gender-identity, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, or mental or physical disability.

As part of our efforts to promote inclusivity, Aurora will be providing barrier-free accessibility via ASL interpretation, raised viewing platforms, accessible toilets, and complimentary parking for those with mobility challenges – both during the Edmonton Pride Parade and the Pride in the Park Festival.

We hope to see many of you there as we come together in celebration. The Edmonton Pride Parade will run on Saturday, June 9 from 11 am to 1 pm (Mountain) and the Pride in the Park Festival from 11 am to 6 pm. Aurora will be hosting a Chill Zone during the Pride in the Park Festival where the public will have a chance to relax, should they want a quiet place to unwind between festivities.
