April is budding with exciting changes. The days are longer, the weather’s warmer, even the grass is greener (or at the very least, it’s beginning to peek out from under the snow). If you’re thinking there’s another reason why April is especially green, you’re right: this coming month is Cannabis Awareness Month! This time of year might be most famously associated with 420 celebrations, but there are numerous events in the first week of April worth checking out.

What: Cannabinoids in Clinical Practice

When: April 5-6

Where: Toronto (Beanfield Centre)

Organized and run by The Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids, this yearly event features presentations by Canadian and internationally renowned experts in a two-day series. Aimed at Canadian physicians and healthcare professionals, the series will present attendees with the most up-to-date information regarding current research on the effective use of cannabinoids in a clinical practice. Aurora is firmly committed to supporting initiatives such as the CCIC, which continue to pave the way for cannabis education within the medical community.  

What: Green Living Show

When: April 6-8

Where: Toronto (Metro Toronto Convention Centre)

The Green Living Show is aimed at anyone who is curious and committed to changing their environmental footprint for the better. The event will feature a range of eco-conscious exhibitors, as well as a yoga pavilion, electric vehicle test drives, an urban forest, and The Cannaspace Exhibit – which partnered with Aurora to provide valuable information to help consumers make decisions about using medical cannabis.

What: Grassroots Expo for the Cannabis Curious

When: April 7-8

Where: Vancouver (UBC Robson Square)

The Grassroots Expo connects some of Canada’s leading cannabis educators with local members of the community seeking to learn more about the vibrant, growing industry. Designed to be less business-focused compared to other cannabis events, Grassroots is aimed at education for those involved at any level of the industry. Aurora’s Annaliese Kibler will be speaking at this event about the effects of the upcoming cannabis laws on consumers. (While you’re there, don’t forget to check out Aurora’s booth in the Speaker Series Room!)

What: Cannabis & Hemp Expo

When: April 7-8

Where: Calgary (BMO Centre, Stampede Park)

The Cannabis & Hemp Expo is a tradeshow meant to bring consumers together with the best products and services the cannabis industry has to offer. With free educational seminars running both days, this event is packed with a long roster of exhibitors (including Aurora). For those who still need some convincing, here’s a tip that’ll help you save a little green: if you order online you’ll get $5 off each ticket.
